Key Responsibilities- Assist with all internal and external records requests.
- Maintain resident confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA/HITECH regulations.
- Coordinate logistics for new hire onboarding sessions and employee training sessions.
- Manage the organization's employee database and prepare reports.
- Maintains good communication with MCO representatives and provides records in a timely manner.
- Performs audits on resident records to ensure accuracy in concert with the Director of Administrative Services.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest HIPAA/HITECH requirements and best practices.
- Associate degree in health information management - 3-5 years' direct experience may be substituted.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Solid understanding of MS Office.
- Experience with release of information (ROI) documentation and requirements.
- Meets health requirements, i.e. - flu vaccination, COVID vaccination, COVID Booster, tb testing - per licensing requirements.
- Must demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
- Adheres to Supreme Living Policies and Procedures.
- Acts as a role model within and outside the organization while on duty.
- Maintains the confidentiality of individual and family information and sensitive organizational information except as required by the obligations of the position or law.
- Performs duties as workload necessitates.
- Maintains a positive and respectful attitude.
- Performs care in conformance with the established standards and policies of Supreme Living.
