Safety Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Manager to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in developing and implementing effective safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, and fostering a positive safety culture within the organization.
Job Responsibilities:- Implement and maintain comprehensive safety programs, focusing on job site safety practices, fall protection, hazard communication, and other essential aspects.
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect projects, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Create and manage Site Specific Safety Plans, Activity Hazard Analyses, and other documentation to guarantee a safe workplace.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations, monitor safety manual requirements, and enforce company-specific safety standards.
- Develop and conduct safety training sessions for employees on best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Identify potential safety risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, protecting employees and the company from liability.
- A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety/Safety Management or a related field is preferred; relevant field experience may be considered as an alternative.
- Procore experience is a plus.
- At least 1-3 years of experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs with measurable results.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and procedures.
- Must possess or be willing to acquire the following certifications:
- OSHA 30-hour in Construction 1926.
- Willingness to obtain an OSHA 500 certification.
- EM 385 certification.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus but not required.
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
