Role Summary:

As a Healthcare Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive compassionate care and an optimal experience. You will manage patient flow within the clinic and assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers in the examination room to deliver patient care.
  • Record and monitor vital signs, height, and weight of patients.
  • Gather patient medical history and chief complaints prior to provider consultations.
  • Perform essential clinical tasks, including blood draws, vital sign assessments, vaccine preparations, EKG recordings, glucose monitoring, urine sample collections, and various tests.
  • Prepare examination rooms for patient visits, ensuring medical supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Sanitize and maintain medical instruments.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, including identifying care gaps and following up with patients.
  • Assist in maintaining clinic compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the office manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English and Chinese is required.
  • Certification in Phlebotomy is mandatory.
  • Exemplary professionalism and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrating kindness and compassion in patient interactions.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting safety regulations and procedural manuals.
  • Prior experience in a medical or clinical environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is advantageous.
