Position Summary

The HR Operations Specialist will play a vital role within our People Team, managing the comprehensive onboarding and offboarding processes, maintaining employee handbooks, ensuring HR compliance, executing orientation programs, and contributing to our employee retention initiatives. This position also involves collaboration with the Chief People Officer (CPO) to facilitate our internal training programs for Retirement Planners. The role is pivotal in driving the success of our organization and offers pathways for professional development.

Key Responsibilities

This role reports directly to the Chief People Officer (CPO) and collaborates closely with the Recruiting Team and Finance Department.

Human Resources Management

  • Oversee the updates and maintenance of the employee handbook.
  • Stay informed about relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory training across all departments.
  • Assist the CPO in managing the offboarding process.
  • Support the CPO in the administration of Performance Improvement Plans.

Onboarding and Offboarding Coordination

  • Facilitate all aspects of the onboarding and offboarding processes for team members.
  • Assist the CPO in managing exit interviews and related procedures.
  • Deliver a comprehensive orientation experience for new hires.

Employee Retention Initiatives

  • Support various activities that are integral to our Employee Retention Program.
  • Provide administrative and personnel support as needed.

Retirement Planner Training Support

  • Assist the CPO in the operation of our internal Retirement Planner Training School, aimed at new Retirement Planners and those requiring corrective action.
  • Provide classroom, administrative, and coaching support to enhance the training experience.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources.
  • Demonstrated success in previous HR roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
