Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team at Mettler-Toledo. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling vehicle scale modules and assisting in the loading of scale modules onto trucks for shipping. You will also be responsible for kit assembly and packing of accessories for vehicle scales orders and stock, as well as accurately entering data into the ERP System (SAP) for shipping and production activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble vehicle scale modules and assist in the loading of scale modules onto trucks for shipping.
  • Kit assembly and packing of accessories for vehicle scales orders and stock.
  • Accurately enter data into the ERP System (SAP) for shipping and production activities.
  • Understand and strictly adhere to all quality and hazardous material guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to production orders, data collection, and Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) sheets.
  • Complete preventative maintenance on machinery in work cell.
  • Accurately maintain stock control, pull items for orders, work in other departments, and complete other related duties as required to fulfill customer orders.
  • Assist in identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Perform daily activities safely with regards to self and others, as well as wear the appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Actively participate in facility 5S and lean initiatives.
  • Safely operate fork trucks and overhead cranes.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse setting.
  • Ability to read/interpret standard blueprints and other engineered documentation.
  • Ability to read a tape measure, work with various tools (hammers, torque wrench, crow bars, etc).
  • Ability to operate a fork lift and overhead crane.
  • Good verbal communication.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Experience with basic computer skills and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work overtime when required.
