About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Operations Specialist to join our team at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and construction on various systems, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain a variety of mechanical and electrical systems, including transformers, switchboards, controllers, breakers, HVAC equipment, and circuits.
  • Security and Surveillance Systems: Support the installation of security, surveillance, and other electronic equipment throughout the facility.
  • Locksmith Services: Perform locksmith duties, including installing and maintaining locks and related hardware, as well as key duplicating and changing combinations on automatic locks.
  • Electrical and Electronic Systems: Install upgrades to the facility's electrical, electronic, and security systems, and capital projects, including updates to internal communication systems such as telephone, fiber optic, and category 6 LANs.
  • System Inspection and Repair: Perform scheduled and necessary inspections, repairs, testing, and monitoring of systems, identifying and implementing corrective actions and repairs to mitigate operational irregularities of critical equipment.
  • Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS): Utilize a CMMS to complete work orders in a timely manner.
  • Building Automation Systems (BAS): Operate and monitor the BAS for critical operating equipment within the facility, performing routine troubleshooting and repairs to building automation components and devices.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Conduct scheduled routine inspections, service, and preventive maintenance for non-complex safety and operating equipment and fixtures.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED; Associate's Degree or 2 years equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience: 2-5+ years of experience doing repair and maintenance preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance; strong knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction or repair of buildings or other structures; strong knowledge of design techniques, tools, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid Driver's License: Required.
