Director of Sales Job Opportunity

Gibson Hotel Management Inc. is a leading hotel management and development company based in Knoxville, Tennessee.

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to join our team at the BRAND NEW Cambria Suites in Pigeon Forge, TN.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong capability to expand and grow new accounts and drive new business to the property.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Developing and booking business through pro-active prospecting calls, marketing, conducting outside appointment calls and hotel tours.
  • Maintaining relationships with current and future clients.
  • Representing the hotel in various networking events either in person or virtually for all market segments.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A proven and verifiable hotel sales executive experience meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Ability to produce weekly and monthly reports and assist GM with sales forecasts.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to foster effective relationships with staff, management, and clients.

We prefer candidates with a Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field and Marriott sales experience is a plus.
