About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to join our team at Sedgwick. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for expanding and enhancing our top line through diligent relationship building and maintenance with prospective clients across an area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop internal and external relationships/partnerships to drive business growth.
  • Meet annual sales goals and ensure sales objectives and profit margins are met.
  • Build relationships with prospects and facilitate the development of new partnerships.
  • Develop detailed knowledge of individual prospect operations and target specific needs for marketing company programs.
  • Ensure the identification of expertise required to address individual prospect requirements and identify resources for prospect solicitation and service teams.
  • Utilize national resources to facilitate responses and pricing for RFPs, proposals, and presentations.
  • Manage the design of service programs to ensure client need fulfillment.
  • Develop and implement an annual sales and service plan, including identification of potential client prospects, their needs, and the methodology of presenting company's ability to fulfill those needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required, with a major in Business Administration, Finance, or Risk Management preferred.
  • Five (5) years of claim outsourcing relationship building experience in the MGA/MGU or Group Captive or Insurance Carrier areas claims management or risk management area or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills, PC literacy, analytical and interpretive skills, strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and meet or exceed Performance Competencies.
