Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review quarterly financial disclosures for stakeholders, including SEC filings such as 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay informed on the evolution of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and SEC regulations; provide insights and recommendations on accounting treatments and assist in the implementation of new guidelines.
  • Oversee loan accounting practices to ensure compliance with GAAP, particularly focusing on CECL processes and models.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of income tax provisions and related financial documentation, while contributing to the development of accounting staff.
  • Formulate and enforce policies aimed at optimizing financial reporting processes and ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal controls.
  • Act as a liaison for internal and external auditors, facilitating communication and ensuring compliance with established procedures.
  • Engage in special projects as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the financial reporting team.
Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP is essential.
  • CPA designation is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and financial management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and related policies.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and accounting software.
Experience Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Experience in public accounting or the banking sector is highly desirable.
