This role includes essential tasks such as surface preparation, masking, and handling of various chemicals. Limited responsibilities may also involve the application of paint and sealants.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting or sealing in accordance with established work instructions, utilizing abrasives, solvents, and brushes.
- Install masking for strips or other intricate details related to aircraft painting.
- May carry out sealant application while ensuring adherence to technical specifications and quality standards.
- Assist in the application or installation of logos, symbols, or designs on painted surfaces, following blueprint specifications and using measuring instruments, stencils, and patterns.
- Ensure the appropriate technical references and tools are utilized during painting and sealing tasks.
- Conduct cleaning and maintenance of all painting or sealing equipment currently in use.
- Set up ladders and scaffolding in compliance with regulations and aircraft requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Federal and local environmental regulations as well as OSHA/TOSHA standards.
