Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Bench Technician to join our team at Southeast Aerospace Inc. As an Avionics Bench Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, calibrating, overhauling, and repairing avionics system components to ensure their proper function and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex avionics system issues using technical manuals and industry standards.
  • Perform calibration, overhaul, and repair of avionics system components, including PCB soldering and other fine mechanical work.
  • Ensure all work meets FAA data and manufacturer specifications.
  • Properly handle and preserve parts during the repair process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure all equipment and tools are in good working condition.
  • Perform preliminary and hidden damage inspections on equipment.
  • Conduct final minimum performance tests in accordance with manufacturer's maintenance manuals.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety guidelines, and code of ethical conduct.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 60 months of experience in repairing legacy avionics equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
  • Adequate knowledge of electronics theory and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to hold components with one hand while moving tools with the other.
  • Aptitude for fine, detailed mechanical work and high level of accuracy and precision.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency with PCB soldering and basic computer skills.

Working Conditions

The Avionics Technician will work in an avionics/instrument shop laboratory environment, which may be loud due to aircraft engines and equipment.
