Senior Principal Materials and Processes Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Principal Materials and Processes Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading all non-metallic efforts on a classified program.
Key Responsibilities- Address issues with sealants, coatings, and subsystems
- Oversee and participate in the generation of test plans and reports
- Review and approve subcontractor material processing procedures
- Perform root cause analysis of material failures and provide effective solutions to production issues
- Analyze, research, design, and develop materials and their related fabrication and application processes
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline
- Minimum of 9 years of experience in composites for airframe structures
- Experience with metallic fabrication and design on aircraft
- Experience with repair processes for metallic materials used in aerospace structures
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
- BS or MS in Materials Science or similar
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplish them simultaneously

Salary Range: $104,400 - $156,600
