Cashier/Receptionist

Welcome to Miles Chevrolet We believe in hiring great people who love cars and love helping our customers Our service department is growing in 2024, and we are looking to add a Cashier/Receptionist/Customer Service Rep with excellent customer service skills and a winning attitude This individual will make and receive calls, follow up with customers and employees, perform basic cashier functions, review ROs, file ROs. This position will also be responsible for basic accounting skills and knowledge of routine accounting functions in both accounts receivable and accounts payable. Pay structure from $15.00/hr - $17.00/hr based on experience and/or understanding of systems used.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as necessary
• Calculate the customer's bill using the dealership's computer system
• Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers and record the amount received on the repair order and/or counter ticket
• Follow Up on customer vehicle progress throughout the week
• Answer phones and direct consumer to the proper department and follow up in a timely manner
• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer complaining customers to the appropriate individual for resolution
• Operate switchboard telephone system
• Communicate with callers in a professional, friendly and efficient manner, striving to minimize the amount of time customers spend on hold
• Assist the managers and advisors with various duties as needed
• Be friendly, professional, courteous and efficient when working with all customers and employees
• Familiarize yourself with department structures & internal procedures for assisting customers efficiently
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Clear and Valid Driver's License
• Clean driving record
• Clean background check
• Clean drug screen
• Experience with Microsoft Office a plus
• Experience with CDK is highly preferred, but not required
