Position Overview:

The Club Leader role is an on-site position, which includes attending training sessions at the Woodcraft Rangers main office and various school locations.

Compensation: $27.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM (specific hours may vary by location)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute engaging and educational activities for club members.
  • Develop and implement program activities aligned with organizational goals and monthly themes.
  • Recruit and maintain participant engagement from the school community (20:1 student to staff ratio).
  • Ensure a safe environment (both physically and emotionally) for all students at all times.
  • Foster positive relationships with youth participants, their parents, and school personnel.
  • Maintain accurate daily attendance records for students.
  • Submit detailed lesson plans for program activities in advance of each session.
  • Organize and implement end-of-session performances or displays that highlight student achievements.
  • Participate in required staff development training, approximately 20 hours per year.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate:


We seek an individual who is detail-oriented, enthusiastic, ambitious, proactive, and positive, capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Strong multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail are essential. Candidates should be comfortable presenting and speaking in front of staff and peers during training sessions.



Qualifications:

  • Experience in expanded learning programs or youth recreational facilities.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED (AA Degree in Child Development or a related field preferred); prior experience with K-12 students in academic or recreational settings is advantageous.
  • Ability to engage effectively with young children and youth.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer usage and a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Valid LIVE Scan, TB Clearance, and CPR Certification.
  • Proof of vaccination is required for all employees working in-person with staff or clients.
  • All employees must provide a negative COVID-19 test result prior to starting employment.
