Deburr Technician

Marotta Controls, Inc. is seeking a skilled Deburr Technician to join our team in Montville, NJ. As a Deburr Technician, you will be responsible for deburring and polishing various types of machined parts to ensure high-quality finishes.

• Utilize high-speed deburr tools and abrasives to remove sharp edges from critical valve components.
• Perform parts inspections using measuring equipment and instruments to ensure conforming product is produced in a safe and efficient manner.
• Independently review documentation and inspect material to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in troubleshooting activities to resolve issues and coordinate work flow between work centers.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated finishing and/or buffing experience.
• Self-motivated with excellent vision and hand coordination.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be a US Citizen.

The Deburr Technician will work in a manufacturing and shipping/receiving environment, interacting with shop employees and management to ensure quality and priority requirements are met. The position requires effective communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Regularly required to talk and hear.
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly required to stand at length, sit, walk, stoop, bend, turn, balance, and/or crouch, and move about the facility.
• May be required to lift and/or move items weighing up to 40 pounds.
