We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team at Wayne Farms, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting processes, including accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Under minimal supervision, perform a range of accounting tasks, including invoice processing, vendor management, and payroll verification.
- Review and verify the accuracy of payroll data, generate reports, and make corrections as necessary.
- Calculate and prepare payments, including grower settlements, bank assignments, and IRS fuel levies.
- Collect and analyze data, prepare relevant reports, and distribute to appropriate personnel.
- Review production reports for accuracy, partner with operations personnel to rectify errors, and notify relevant personnel of discrepancies.
- Analyze, prepare, and enter data for general ledger entries, reconcile discrepancies prior to entry.
- Partner with internal departments to investigate and resolve unmatched invoices.
- Train and cross-train others on new policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred.
- Minimum two years of relevant clerical and accounts payable or accounts receivable experience; A/P or A/R experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Strong customer focus, with the ability to communicate with internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Exceptional communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient computer and math skills.
- Self-starter with strong initiative and a sense of urgency, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Frequently sit for long periods of time utilizing office equipment and/or computers.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
