Position Title: Local Revenue Office Supervisor

Department: Department of Finance and Administration

Overview: The Local Revenue Office Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of a county revenue office. This position is essential for ensuring compliance with tax and licensing regulations while providing exceptional service to the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the daily activities of administrative support staff, including establishing work schedules and assigning tasks.
  • Assist taxpayers with various transactions, including calculating and collecting fees related to sales tax, vehicle registrations, and licenses.
  • Ensure compliance with state laws by verifying necessary documentation and resolving taxpayer inquiries.
  • Prepare and maintain reports on office activities and business performance.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of office supplies and materials.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the office's operations.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with four years of relevant experience in bookkeeping or customer service, including at least one year in a supervisory role. Additional qualifications may be considered based on agency requirements.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of county revenue office operations and relevant regulations.
  • Proficient in general office procedures and bookkeeping practices.
  • Ability to effectively research and verify tax and licensing information.
  • Competent in using standard office equipment and software.
