ROLE SUMMARY

This position is essential for providing support to customers and staff regarding product inquiries while maintaining accurate inventory and pricing data. The individual in this role must stay informed about product and service updates to effectively meet customer demands and contribute to sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist walk-in customers at the service counter.
  • Support service technicians at the back counter.
  • Help phone customers with product orders.
  • Create customer sales orders or quotes.
  • Process requisitions for product orders.
  • Follow purchasing procedures diligently.
  • Expedite purchase orders and update order information as needed.
  • Receive items and organize stock on shelves appropriately.
  • Utilize existing surplus inventory when available.
  • Ensure price adjustments are made or notify Inventory Administrators of discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with accounts payable to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers and staff, escalating relevant issues to management.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts.
  • Maintain cleanliness in product and retail areas.
  • Coordinate with service and sales departments to pull and order necessary products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK SCHEDULE

This is a Monday through Friday position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in inventory management is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Oracle/NetSuite is a plus.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English; bilingual skills are beneficial.
  • Must adhere to all safety protocols and apply good safety practices in the workplace.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and a willingness to take on new responsibilities.
  • Strong team-oriented attitude and work ethic.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role may expose the employee to various weather conditions. Duties will require working in a shop/warehouse setting and/or at customer job sites.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Employees in this position may need to lift/carry weights of up to 42 lbs. occasionally, 32 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. constantly. Tasks may involve lifting from floor to knuckle, knuckle to shoulder, and standing, walking, stooping, climbing stairs, or kneeling as necessary.

Flexibility in work hours is required, including potential overtime, holiday work, weekends, and extended hours with minimal notice based on operational needs.
