As a Practical Nursing Specialist, you will play a vital role in the healthcare team, providing essential support in patient care. Your responsibilities will include assessing patient needs, executing nursing procedures, and ensuring a high standard of care in accordance with state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect comprehensive patient histories and relevant information.
  • Conduct specialized procedures and tests as directed, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies and medications in patient care areas.
  • Sterilize and manage medical instruments and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Facilitate effective communication between healthcare providers and patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide health education and counseling to patients and their families.
  • Evaluate patient health status based on presenting symptoms and follow established protocols for care.
  • Monitor and track diagnostic test results, ensuring timely communication with patients regarding their findings.
  • Assist patients in navigating the healthcare system and provide education on available resources.
  • Complete necessary documentation and scheduling for diagnostic and therapeutic services.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Process prescription requests and refills as per established protocols.
  • Implement Universal Precautions during all patient interactions.

Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited LPN program (diploma or associate degree).
  • Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience.
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse license or multi-state license.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
