Job Summary

The Senior Sales Tax Analyst is responsible for ensuring all occupancy, sales, use, personal property, and property tax requirements are met while adhering to our policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review monthly tax worksheets prepared by tax analysts.
  • Provide office coverage to train, guide, and assist tax analysts.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new properties and offer training and ongoing support after transition.
  • Lead the variance resolving process in tax account reconciliation.
  • Manage sales, local, and property tax return filings for assigned properties.
  • Ensure systems, policies, and procedures adhere to company policies while functioning with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local tax laws as it relates to sales and property tax filings.
  • Oversee all tax-related filings and related payments for designated properties.
  • Collect, review for accuracy, and store property backup for tax exemptions.
  • Process various types of returns and track the status of all tax returns for assigned properties.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate quickly and accurately.
  • Assist outside consultants with property tax protest filings and assist with sales and local tax audits.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Strong organizational skills, multi-tasking, and attention to detail, with a track record of meeting deadlines and delivering on goals.
