Job Title: Senior Data Analyst - Product Data Management

At Hewlett-Packard, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our team in Product Data Management. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and interpreting product data to support business decision-making and optimize product-related processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze large datasets related to product information, performance, and market trends to identify patterns, correlations, and insights. Develop and apply statistical models and algorithms to interpret complex data and support decision-making. Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key metrics and trends to stakeholders.
  2. Data Management and Governance: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of product data across various systems and platforms. Implement data quality measures and perform data cleansing to address discrepancies and ensure reliable data. Collaborate with data stewards and IT teams to maintain and improve data governance practices.
  3. Reporting and Documentation: Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to track product performance, trends, and other key business metrics. Document data processes, methodologies, and findings clearly and comprehensively. Present analytical results and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
  4. System and Tool Utilization: Utilize advanced data analysis tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI) to extract, manipulate, and visualize data. Support the integration of product data with other business systems (e.g., ERP, CRM) to ensure seamless data flow and utilization.
  5. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with product management, marketing, sales, and other departments to understand their data needs and provide analytical support. Assist in the development and execution of data-driven strategies and initiatives. Provide training and support to team members on data analysis tools and best practices.
  6. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving data management processes and implementing best practices. Propose and implement enhancements to data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
  7. Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards. Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data analysis and product data management.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field is required. Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within product data management or a related field. Proven experience working with large datasets and complex data analysis tools.
  • Skills and Competencies: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights. Proficiency with data analysis tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, R). Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for creating reports and dashboards.
