Job Title: Lead Veterinarian, Los Angeles

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Veterinarian to join our team in Los Angeles. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading a team of veterinarians, and contributing to the development of our veterinary programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care, including physical examinations, diagnostics, and treatment recommendations
  • Lead a team of veterinarians, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure excellent patient care and team performance
  • Develop and implement veterinary programs, including quality improvement initiatives and educational opportunities
  • Collaborate with other departments, including medical, client operations, and talent acquisition, to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in veterinary medicine

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
  • Current California State Veterinary License
  • Minimum three years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery
  • Previous people management experience preferred
  • Fear Free Veterinary certification required within 60 days of hire
