Rental Operations Coordinator

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and execution of daily operations and sales within the rental division.
  • Build and sustain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers to identify and cultivate relationships with both prospective and existing clients.
  • Evaluate and coordinate appropriate rental equipment for client needs.
  • Manage all rental agreements, sales contracts, and credit memos for clients at the rental facility.
  • Support inventory management of all assets, including parts and fleet.
  • Work closely with the service department to ensure readiness of rental, sales, and demonstration equipment.
  • Perform additional duties, assignments, and special projects as necessary.
  • Effectively communicate the advantages of products to potential customers based on their specific needs, both over the phone and in person.
  • Research competitors to enhance the rental division's ability to meet customer demands.
  • Be prepared to respond to calls on a company-issued mobile device outside of regular working hours.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% as required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in a heavy equipment or machinery setting.
  • At least 1 year of sales experience in an equipment or parts environment.
  • Capability to tow non-commercial trailer-mounted equipment with a 3/4 or 1-ton truck.
  • Proficient in safely operating a forklift for loading and maneuvering equipment.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Skilled in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and JDEdwards (Oracle-based).
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating initiative and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
