Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant I to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Drugs and Food Safety Licensing Branch, serving as the initial contact for the general public, applicants, industry, and other state and federal agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, maintain filing systems, and reconcile remittances.
  • Assist with the preparation of license information and application packets.
  • Perform data entry, calculations, and report preparation using Microsoft Office and other software.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in administrative support or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and other software applications.
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position working 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
