Job Title: Project Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Surveyor to join our team at IMEG Corp. As a Project Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing production surveying duties, applying diversified knowledge of principles and practices in areas of land surveying related fields.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex survey duties associated with construction stakeout and boundary, topographic, and as-built surveys.
  • Research historic maps, land records, previous surveys, and land title reports.
  • Complete boundary reductions and mapping/topographic field reductions in CAD/survey software.
  • Download, maintain, and verify accuracy of project survey data and manage survey database; Review survey production and final products, processed data collection, and field notes for quality control.
  • Proficiency with survey computations, staking/control exhibits, and survey crew instructions for construction staking and field survey projects.
  • Knowledge for the operation and assistance of operation of GPS equipment, total stations, levels, data collectors, and other survey equipment.
  • Lead CAD Techs in preparing plans and plats describing in detail the surveys performed.
  • Maintain professional and productive working relationships with all clients and coworkers.
  • Mentor and assist in training junior staff members.
  • Operate a company vehicle and observe safety and security procedures.
Requirements:
  • Advanced knowledge of land surveying operations, computations, principles, and practices.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering plans and construction documents.
  • Knowledge and ability to deal with public and governmental agencies, manage field crews, and schedule equipment and supplies.
  • Proficient in on-site office operation, office workflow processes, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Advanced understanding of survey operations and identification of potential problems.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD C3D, survey, GPS, MS Office software.
  • Possesses oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, officials, contractors, coworkers, and professionally represent IMEG.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) or Associates Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required.
  • Land Surveyor (LS) License required.
  • 4 years of experience minimum required in the Surveying and Construction Industry.
Benefits:
  • Salary Range: $68,000 - $87,000.
  • Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
  • Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
