Position Details:

We are in search of a dynamic and skilled Senior Procurement Specialist to enhance our Luxury Residential Construction division. This role is crucial for our operational success, as you will oversee all procurement activities related to our residential projects. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the timely and cost-efficient acquisition of materials, equipment, and services necessary for our operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute procurement strategies aligned with the company's objectives.
  • Oversee all purchasing activities for residential construction projects, including sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring necessary materials and services.
  • Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring precision and adherence to project specifications and budgets.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to create accurate project estimates.
  • Utilize Buildertrend or similar software to monitor purchases, manage orders, and maintain precise records.
  • Assess supplier performance and cultivate strong, mutually beneficial relationships with reliable vendors.
  • Keep abreast of market trends, competitor strategies, and supplier developments.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant company and industry regulations concerning procurement.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and enhancements in the procurement process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a procurement role, ideally within the residential construction sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in purchasing, order management, estimating, and utilizing construction software.
  • Exceptional negotiation abilities and a proven history of effective supplier management.
  • In-depth knowledge of the residential construction industry, including common materials, equipment, and services.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to foresee and address potential challenges.
