Power Systems Engineer

The NISC IV division at Leidos is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to contribute to our engineering efforts.
The successful candidate will be tasked with:
- Adhering to established Federal Aviation Administration engineering protocols and supervisory guidelines for the upkeep of systems and facilities.
- Completing basic and progressively challenging assignments under the guidance of a manager or senior engineer to diagnose and analyze issues or system failures.
- Assisting in the formulation and execution of solutions, including modifications and the integration of new technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Industrial Financial Solutions (IFS) parts ordering system.
- Ensure accurate entry and updates of system components in IFS for Bills of Materials and Parent/Child Structures, facilitating proper processing from warehouses to shops.
- Collaborate with Equipment Specialists and Item Managers to finalize part setups.
- Maintain Configuration Management (CM) and Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) for assigned systems.
- Draft Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) to uphold the baseline of assigned systems, including testing protocols.
- Write Issue Requests (IR) to highlight system issues that may necessitate attention.
- Work with other engineering resources to ensure compliance with all system requirements.
- Analyze Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) data from vendors on a monthly basis.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on components with high failure rates and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in reviews of component obsolescence and suggest replacements or alternatives.
- Engage in Integrated Product Team(s) for assigned systems.
- Assist in the Logistics Management System (LMS) and Integrated Logistics Support Management (ILSM) for regular Sustainment and Supportability Reviews.
- Compose Process Instructions, Work Instructions, and Maintenance Manuals for system support.
- Facilitate the transition of systems to organic support.
Additionally, the candidate will perform trend analysis, engineering testing, and prepare technical reports, applying engineering principles to meet customer needs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust background investigation.
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $53,000 to $97,525. This range serves as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation.
