Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and package food items according to established procedures and portion control standards.
  • Maintain food service facilities, equipment, and utensils in a clean and sanitary condition.
  • Prepare and assemble entrees, fruits, vegetables, sandwiches, desserts, and other assigned foods for distribution.
  • Assist in the receipt, storage, and rotation of food items and supplies in storage areas.
  • Safely operate standard food service equipment.
  • Maintain routine records related to assigned activities.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the Administrator.

Requirements:

  • Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and sufficient training and experience to perform assigned duties.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to speak and hear. The employee is required to have dexterity of hands and fingers. The employee is required to stand for extended periods of time. Performing assigned duties which require bending, kneeling, twisting, and reaching overhead, above shoulders, and horizontally. The employee will be required to push/pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. The employee will be exposed to cold temperatures for extended periods of time, and could complete repetitive work. Specific vision abilities required by this job include seeing to monitor food quality and quantity.
