Purpose:

As a Cafeteria Assistant with Fort Wayne Community Schools, you will play a vital role in supporting nutrition services operations. Your responsibilities will include performing a variety of food service and maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our cafeterias.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work Schedule: School year
  • Work Hours: Shifts typically occur within the hours of 7:00am and 3:30pm, with exact start and end times varying based on the needs of the school and/or Nutrition Processing Center.
  • Benefits Included: Paid Holidays, Paid Time Off, Basic Term Life Insurance, Optional Direct Primary Care Plan, Various Optional Supplemental Benefits
    • For positions working more than 6 hours per day, benefits also include a public pension.
    • For positions working 7 hours per day, benefits also include Health Insurance (with Vision and Dental).

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and sufficient training and experience to perform assigned duties.
