Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at Select Medical Corporation. As a Registered Dietitian, you will be responsible for providing quality nutritional care to patients, including assessing nutritional needs, developing medical nutrition therapies, and implementing these plans with the multi-interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Provides quality nutrition services, including screening, initial assessment, re-assessments, nutrition counseling, and education.
  • Develops and implements nutritional care plans, considering religious, cultural, and ethical factors.
  • Evaluates potential food/drug interactions and provides nutrition education/counseling as appropriate.
  • Communicates and implements the nutritional plan of care with the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Attends interdisciplinary care meetings and participates in various medical rounds.
  • Develops and implements educational programs for patients and staff.
  • Keeps current with nutritional practices and theories, maintaining current ADA requirements.
  • Oversees food and nutrition departmental office systems and acts as Food Service manager as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition related field required.
  • Current state licensure/certification and registration by the Commission on Dietetics Registration required.
  • One year of work experience in a facility setting with clinical responsibilities or equivalent required.
