Position Overview

This role encompasses full-time retail customer service and business-to-business counter sales responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist culinary professionals, restaurant proprietors, and cooking enthusiasts with their purchases at the counter.
  • Engage proactively with vendors and clients to ensure seamless communication regarding special orders.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints effectively.
  • Process returns and exchanges as necessary.
  • Work independently or with minimal oversight.
  • Package purchases to guarantee safe transport.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Handle transactions accurately, ensuring all pricing and quantities are correct, and provide receipts to all customers.
  • Balance the cash register and generate reports for credit and debit transactions.
  • Occasionally visit clients as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor.
  • Dynamic and energetic personality.
  • Experience in the foodservice industry is advantageous.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt quickly is essential.
  • Proficiency in computer applications is required.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Prior experience in cashiering and customer service is necessary.
  • Must possess the ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently (additional languages are a plus).

Background Requirements

  • Must successfully pass a background check.
  • May be required to undergo a drug test for specific roles.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
