About the Role

Cox Communications is seeking a highly skilled Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving sales, and building strong relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explain and demonstrate product capabilities to customers, providing personalized recommendations to meet their needs.
  • Meet or exceed sales, retention, and customer experience targets, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with the opening and closing of our retail store environments, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos to educate customers about our products and services.
  • Support fellow sales agents and provide guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings through regular training and development opportunities.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or up to 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Computer literacy and aptitude for learning communication products and services.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds to manage stock room inventory.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some college experience with a focus in sales, business, and/or management.
  • One year of experience in a related field, such as sales, retail sales, or service industry.
  • Experience selling wireless/mobile products.
  • Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken.
