Job Title: Curriculum Development Specialist

The National WWII Museum is seeking a highly skilled Curriculum Development Specialist to join our Education Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating engaging and standards-aligned curricula and resources for teachers and students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans, activities, and resources across multiple subject areas.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Teacher Programs and the Teacher Outreach Specialist to coordinate content and schedules for onsite and offsite workshops.
  • Work with the Assistant Director of Distance Learning and Distance Learning Specialist to schedule and staff online Professional Development offerings.
  • Design and execute robust program design, documentation, and evaluation of curriculum and online offerings.
  • Source primary source materials, historical oversight, and content to be infused in curriculum offerings.
  • Develop funding proposals for teacher initiatives in collaboration with the Institutional Advancement Department.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in curriculum and instruction, education, history, museum education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years' experience working with elementary and/or secondary school students and teachers in a school, museum, or other educational setting.
  • Knowledge of current national and state-level standards across disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading professional development trainings for adults, especially teachers.
  • Familiarity with e-learning and collaboration tools, including Zoom, Canvas, Articulate, and Padlet.
