About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Crisis Worker to join our team at Resources for Human Development. As a Crisis Worker, you will play a vital role in providing direct services to consumers, supporting them in reaching their goals and promoting their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Care: Provide direct services to consumers, including face-to-face and telephone interactions, psycho-educational sessions, skills training, and crisis counseling.
  • Medication Observations: Conduct scheduled and as-needed medication observations, assisting the Residential Nurse as required.
  • Residential Crisis Duties: Perform daily tasks, including early walking, meal preparation, and clean-up, as well as maintaining scheduled appointments.
  • Telephone Crisis Duties: Screen incoming calls, provide telephone counseling, consultation, assessment, and referral to needed services.
Administrative Tasks
  • Complete all required documentation, including RHD, Funder, licensing, and accreditation reports.
Community Interaction
  • Engage in community involvement and teamwork, providing referral and case management services for consumers and families.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Unit Director.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field, such as sociology, social work, psychology, or gerontology.
  • High school diploma or equivalency with 12 semester credit hours in sociology, social welfare, psychology, or other social sciences.
  • 4 years of experience in public or private human services, with at least 1 year of mental health direct care experience.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to drive a mobile unit within the service area and visit consumers in their homes.
  • Reporting relationships with the Assistant Unit Director, Program Specialist, and Mental Health Professional.
