Job DescriptionThe Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for managing the sales relationship for existing large contracts/programs, with a focus on growing revenue and margin. This role will ensure that terms, conditions, and specifications of the contract are fully executed, and will create and track metrics specific to each program.
Key Responsibilities- Own the customer relationship and work to grow revenue and margin within the account
- Manage the contract to ensure compliance with terms, conditions, and specifications
- Develop and communicate contract metrics and utilize project management fundamentals to ensure account activities are tracked and communicated
- Collaborate with regional sales teams to develop and execute sales strategies for assigned territories
- Recommend alternative products that benefit the end user and promote add-on sales
- Provide regular input to sales leadership for strategic planning, sales forecasting, and core process improvements
- 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in managed account sales
- Successful track record in sales leadership and contract management
- Good knowledge of products involved in contracts and the public safety industry
- Negotiation skills and good interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Oracle, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
