This is a unique opportunity to join M S Benbow and Associates as a highly skilled and experienced Wireless Communications Specialist with a strong background in telecommunications, particularly in In-Building Cellular and Public Safety Radio Distributed Antenna Systems.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the selection of production hardware for projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Develop and validate RF designs using iBwave software, leveraging expertise in RF design development and validation.
  • Review and approve construction drawings, including system block diagrams, wiring diagrams, rack elevations, and conduit/cable routing drawings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and approve product specifications and related documentation, maintaining high standards of quality and clarity.
  • Write scope of work documents and equipment purchase specifications, effectively communicating project requirements to stakeholders.
  • Review vendor data sheets to ensure compliance with project requirements, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Lead and manage teams of Engineers, Designers, and Drafters, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional collaboration, interpersonal, and client engagement skills, with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of resolving complex technical issues.
  • Proven experience in RF design development and validation, with a deep understanding of RF design principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in iBwave software, with the ability to effectively utilize its features and tools.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing engineering teams, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to stakeholders.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E.), preferred, with a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • 5-10 years of experience in wireless communications, with a focus on In-Building Cellular and Public Safety Radio Distributed Antenna Systems, required, with a proven track record of success in this field.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast United States, required, with a strong ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, with the ability to maintain focus and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times, with a strong ability to manage physical demands and limitations.
