Job Summary

The Children's Home of Pittsburgh is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Events Manager to join our Marketing & Development Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and executing fundraising events, managing donor relationships, and analyzing data to inform our fundraising strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute fundraising events, including third-party events, cultivation events, and the annual Shake Your Booties Gala.
  • Manage The Children's Home & Lemieux Family Center's donor database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Steward corporate and individual gifts of all levels, including planned and major gifts.
  • Foster donor relations and build strong relationships with donors, volunteers, and members of the organization's Board of Directors.
  • Collaborate with members of the organization's senior management team and work closely with the Sr. Director of Development.
  • Develop and implement data-driven fundraising strategies to meet or exceed annual fundraising goals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to donors, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Fundraising, Marketing, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' of donor database management experience required; expertise using Donor Perfect preferred.
  • Experience with data input/output, maintenance, management, and analysis.
  • Experience working for a non-profit organization is required.
  • Genuine interest in the organization's mission.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Function with a high-level of detail.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, technical leadership, and proficiency.
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS office, strong Excel skills required.
  • Understanding of principles and strategies of philanthropy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to take initiative and to work independently, exercise good judgment, and act diplomatically.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully both independently and with a strong team in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong inter-personal skills.
