We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist I to join our team at GEODIS Group. As a Technical Support Specialist I, you will be responsible for providing system and technology assistance and support for our customers and employees.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support and assistance to customers and employees via phone, email, and other communication channels.
- Log and manage calls and incidents in our service desk incident management application system.
- Act as a single point of contact for phone calls and email related to IT issues and queries.
- Address support center and new service requests in priority order and track from request to resolution.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on failed peripheral equipment and desktop systems.
- Identify and facilitate technical issues that warrant an escalation to appropriate personnel for resolution based on priority or urgency.
- Offer suggestions for improving the support center's efficiency and customer service rating.
- Document and record data pertaining to technical events and incidents in the incident management application system.
- Perform routine active directory administrative tasks.
- High school education or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
- Minimum 6 months related experience in technical service desk or system support role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience using an incident management application system.
- Knowledge in hardware support and networking concepts.
- Experience in support of Window Operating Systems (all versions) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid organizational and prioritizing skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical documentation.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical users.
The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.
