Overview:
The Rosewood at Fort Oglethorpe is a dedicated healthcare provider that focuses on delivering exceptional nursing care to our residents while overseeing and mentoring clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities are typical for this role. This list is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Document and assess the health status and nursing requirements of residents.
  • Timely and accurately execute physicians' directives.
  • Delegate nursing tasks to team members based on residents' needs and staff qualifications.
  • Supervise, guide, and evaluate junior nursing staff and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
  • Administer medications and conduct treatments for assigned residents, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in training and orientation programs for new personnel.
  • Manage supplies efficiently and maintain a clean, safe environment.
  • Report and document significant observations regarding residents' conditions.
  • Coordinate nursing care for residents undergoing therapy or procedures in other departments.
  • Implement emergency protocols for sudden health crises among residents.
  • Engage in staff counseling, disciplinary actions, and terminations as permitted.
  • Oversee the nursing unit, including staff scheduling and direction.
  • Promote positive interpersonal relationships and enhance team morale.
  • Ensure adequate inventory and communicate needs for maintenance and dietary support.
  • Respond to resident call lights and conduct regular checks on residents.
  • Report any suspected abuse to the appropriate authorities immediately.

Qualifications:
To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively.

Educational Background and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited LPN/LVN Nursing Program
Possession of a valid LPN/LVN license in the state
Current CPR certification
Preferred: One year of nursing experience
