Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Medicine Specialist to join our team at the Primary Health Care Center of Dade. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and treatment in a clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and approved protocols.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems and healthcare needs.
  • Record physical findings, formulate a plan and prognosis, based on patients' condition.
  • Discuss cases with other healthcare professionals to prepare a comprehensive patient care plan.
  • Prescribe or recommend drugs or other forms of treatment, such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
  • Refer patients to specialists for consultation or to specialized healthcare resources for treatment, as needed.
  • Participate in in-house employee education and community education and outreach programs.
  • Ensure all credentialing and continuing education requirements for continued licensure are current.
  • Adhere to and support all principles and guidelines of the Patient-Centered Medical Home adopted by Primary Healthcare Centers.
  • Participate in regular Quality Improvement and Peer Review audits.
  • Meet patient clinical outcome measures as established through Quality Improvement Program.
  • Complete all patient medical record documentation and lock patient visits within established timeframes.
Requirements
  • Board certified/eligible in a primary care specialty.
  • Medical degree from an accredited college of medicine.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in family practice or internal medicine.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Georgia Medical License.
  • Board Certified/eligible in a primary care specialty.
  • Valid Driver's license.
  • ACLS Certified.
