The Practical Nursing Specialist plays a vital role in delivering patient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team and law enforcement personnel.
This position involves performing nursing duties under the guidance of Registered Nurses, Healthcare Administrators, Mid-Level Providers, Physicians, or under the administrative oversight of Healthcare Supervisors.
Our ideal candidate will possess the expertise and capability to deliver high-quality care while effectively addressing the unique needs of the correctional healthcare environment. Adherence to the standards and ethics of nursing practice is essential, in line with the regulations set forth by the State Board of Nursing and relevant accrediting bodies.
Key Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Experience in correctional healthcare is advantageous.
