Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our providers to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients, including administering treatments and medications as prescribed.
  • Assist with patient preparation, including obtaining vital signs and conducting initial assessments.
  • Coordinate patient testing and admissions, and ensure timely flow of patients through the clinic.
  • Respond to incoming telephone calls and communicate with patients and providers as needed.
  • Document patient information and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain licensure and affiliations.
  • Follow CHRISTUS Health policies and procedures, including HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing or vocational nursing.
  • Valid state license to practice nursing.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
