Essential Functions of a Dispatcher at SWBC PEO

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Understand the needs and personalities of all customers and vendors.
  • Maintains accurate records of customer interactions, including inquiries, complaints, or comments.
  • Pays close attention to details when logging times drivers are on jobs, using knowledge of towing to estimate the time required to complete the work.
  • Ensure smooth communication with drivers throughout the job to guarantee its completion.
  • Dispatch calls efficiently, taking into account driver talent and drive time.
  • Continuously monitor tow summaries for requested appointments and contact drivers and customers as necessary.
  • Handle customer complaints and problem resolution in a professional manner.
  • Manage daily operations by making Call Aheads & Delays to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Maintain positive relationships with drivers, coworkers, and managers.
  • Assist in training Customer Service Representatives, particularly in car buying and tow ticket completion.
  • Lead the call center with a professional approach.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Develop the ability to multitask, using multiple computer applications simultaneously.
  • Work well under pressure and handle difficult customers professionally.
  • Represent SWBC PEO in a professional manner with customers, vendors, staff, and the public.
  • Ensure accuracy with data entry.
  • Remain detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and employees.
  • Bilingual, must be able to communicate in English and Spanish.
