Job Overview

Position: Superintendent for High-End Residential Projects

Deffenbaugh Homes is seeking skilled individuals with substantial experience in construction oversight or management to contribute to our expanding organization. We specialize in the construction of premium custom homes and renovations, and we are in search of Superintendents who excel in communication and are dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.

Key Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in construction management (preferred)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate the construction of quality homes from inception to completion in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Oversee the managerial aspects of residential projects.
  • Select, coordinate, and manage personnel, materials, budgets, and timelines.
  • Monitor the progress of multiple construction projects simultaneously.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes while maintaining high standards of construction quality.
  • Maintain organized, safe, and compliant job sites.
  • Understand and interpret contracts, plans, and construction regulations.
  • Manage construction costs to adhere to budgetary constraints and prevent overruns.
  • Schedule and oversee subcontractors to ensure timely project completion.
  • Conduct final inspections and address customer concerns prior to project closure.
  • Utilize computer-based scheduling tools to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Proficient in following up with clients to address any concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Strong supervisory skills to effectively manage diverse teams.
  • Ability to motivate construction partners to achieve high performance standards.
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in computer applications for job scheduling, budgeting, and communication.
  • Ability to remain composed and adaptable in fast-paced and unpredictable environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Knowledge of construction practices and terminology, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Detail-oriented with a persistent approach to follow-up.
  • Strong sense of urgency and reliability.
  • Ability to maintain a stationary position for extended periods and lift materials as needed.
  • Proficient in accessing and managing information through electronic devices.
  • Effective communication skills for interactions with clients and team members.
