Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to join our team at Chewy. As a key member of our Pharmacy Compounding Lab, you will be responsible for leading a team of hourly employees in the proper receiving, storage, and shipping of products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and motivate a team of employees to meet productivity, labor, and quality objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and maintain pharmacy standards.
  • Lead accurate unloading and put away of containers to ensure timely returns and 100% accuracy.
  • Provide feedback and positive reinforcement on safety, quality of work, productivity, and attitude.
  • Drive process improvements through associate feedback, data analysis, and up-channeling changes to obtain departmental goals.
  • Follow and ensure all safety and USP guidelines for preparation of compounded medications are met.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree - Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years' supervisory experience preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Active pharmacist or certified pharmacy technician license in the state of PA, or the ability to obtain a pharmacist or certified pharmacy technician license within six months of employment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and strong attention to detail.
  • Intermediate skills in working on computers - Microsoft Office package and time-keeping software solutions.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include nights and weekends if business requires it.
  • Position may require travel.
  • Bonus: Bilingual in Spanish.
