Position Summary:
The Clinical Operations Supervisor is accountable for ensuring the delivery of patient care that safeguards the health and safety of all individuals under their supervision during their assigned shift. This role involves collaboration with contract nursing agencies alongside the Nurse Manager and/or Chief Clinical Officer. The Supervisor serves as a critical link between the nursing staff and hospital administration.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Proficient understanding of nursing standards and practices.
  • Solid clinical knowledge and bedside manner.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications relevant to healthcare.

Education and Experience:
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program with an active RN license.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive experience in acute care or rehabilitation nursing.
  • At least three years of supervisory or charge nurse experience required.
  • CRRN certification is a plus.

Licenses and Certifications:
  • Current RN license in the state of employment.
  • Must maintain ACLS certification throughout employment.
  • Rehabilitation Nursing Certification is preferred.

Skills:
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex information effectively.
  • Strong mathematical skills for patient care calculations.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Essential Functions:
  • Oversee daily departmental operations including patient assessments and care planning.
  • Evaluate patient responses and document progress.
  • Conduct chart audits and implement compliance processes.
  • Provide mentorship and support to nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with healthcare leaders to enhance patient services.
  • Ensure effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
