PureSky Energy Seeks Director of Procurement

PureSky Energy, a leading renewable energy company, is seeking a seasoned Director of Procurement to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage procurement plans to achieve targeted cost reductions and increase control over supply chain issues.
  • Lead the identification, assessment, and evaluation of potential vendors/suppliers to identify approved lists.
  • Conduct RFI, RFP, and RFQ exercises to obtain quotations/proposals from suitable suppliers of equipment and services.
  • Investigate and maintain a view of the bankability and performance of major equipment and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
  • Develop and maintain a forward-looking view of tariffs and legislative incentives that influence the selection and procurement of equipment/services.
  • Prepare supply contracts and lead negotiations with suppliers, involving senior management and executive teams as needed.
  • Maintain a view of the Bill of Materials for major equipment and regularly assess risks with supply chain constraints impacting manufacturers, commodity prices, import tariffs, and logistics.
  • Maintain a list of equipment purchased that satisfies US Safe Harbor requirements for corresponding projects.
  • Periodically assess forecasted supply and demand for equipment and services and recommend adjustments to top management.
  • Manage direct staff supporting the execution of procurement plans, including ordering equipment and services from approved suppliers and coordinating warehousing and site deliveries.
  • Approve factory/site inspection reports and provide clearance certificates.
  • Review and approve supplier invoices and supporting documentation, forwarding receiving paperwork to Accounting for vendor payment.
  • Maintain records of approved suppliers and periodically evaluate vendor performance.
  • Represent PureSky Energy on SEIA's Trade Working Group.
  • Support senior management and various PureSky Energy entities and teams on various duties as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or other suitable field.
  • 5+ years of work experience as a purchaser/buyer, preferably with a construction firm or renewable energy company.
  • 2+ years of work experience negotiating supply agreements.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well with others, particularly establishing and maintaining good vendor relationships.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and negotiation skills are essential.
  • Preference given to those with a track record of leadership.
  • Procurement certifications (CSCP, CPPM, etc.) are a plus.
Location:

Denver, Colorado or Toronto, Ontario metro areas preferred. (Hybrid)

Salary:

$130,000 - $150,000 USD (depending on actual location of candidate)

Bonus Opportunity:

35% of annual salary
