About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Director to join our team at Skills Alliance. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Source and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and secure competitive pricing and terms.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, keeping abreast of changes that may impact purchasing strategy.
  • Collaborate with various departments to determine purchasing needs and ensure timely acquisition of goods and services.
  • Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships, resolving any issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Oversee the entire procurement process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Analyze and evaluate supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software or ERP systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) preferred.
