Job Title: Adjunct Lecturer, Human Biology

Bentley University is seeking an Adjunct Lecturer to teach one section of Human Biology in the fall semester. This introductory level laboratory course explores the essential mechanisms of human biology and their applications.

Course Overview:

The course builds an understanding of how complex human systems represent consequences of the genes comprising the human genome and their expression, the functions of biological pathways, and the electrochemical properties of cells. An understanding of these mechanisms on a molecular level is used to explore health and disease, recent scientific discoveries, the development of biopharmaceutical products, controversies in biomedicine, and other issues related to business and society.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach one section of Human Biology in the fall semester
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments
  • Provide individualized support to students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and improve student outcomes

Requirements:

  • PhD in biological science, biochemistry, or related biological health science field (PhD candidates in late stages of training will be considered)
  • Availability for in-person teaching on Bentley's Campus during class/lab sessions on Tuesday (11:00 AM-12:20 PM) and Friday (9:30 AM-12:20 PM) each week during the fall semester
