About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Audiologist to join our team at University Hospitals. As an Audiologist, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive hearing and balance services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Evaluation and Management: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' hearing and balance functions, interpret test results, and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Treatment and Intervention: Provide a range of treatment options, including hearing aids, cochlear implants, and other devices to improve patients' hearing and communication abilities.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Use: Ensure the proper use and maintenance of audiometric equipment, including audiometers, otoacoustic emission testers, and other devices.
  • Advanced Audiologist Duties: Participate in program development, student preceptorship, and other advanced Audiologist duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's Degree in Audiology (required) and Doctorate Degree in Audiology (preferred).
  • Work Experience: 2+ years of experience in a medical setting with adult and pediatric patients, hearing aids, OAEs, ENGs, and evoked response audiometry.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Fundamental knowledge and ability to apply the principles and practices related to Audiology, exposure and familiarity with audiometric equipment, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands
  • Standing and Walking: Frequently stand and walk throughout the workday.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Frequently lift and carry equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds.
  • Pushing and Pulling: Frequently push and pull equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds.
  • Climbing and Balancing: Occasionally climb stairs and balance on uneven surfaces.
  • Reaching and Handling: Frequently reach and handle equipment and supplies.
Travel Requirements
  • Travel Frequency: 10% of the workweek.
